Paying Invoices & Managing Your Subscription

If your agency uses Stripe Connect through Local Visibility Lab, your invoices and subscription are billed through the platform — but the money goes directly to the agency. This page covers what you can do as a customer.

How you'll typically pay for the first time

  1. The agency sends you a storefront link like dashboard.localvisibilitylab.io/storefront/your-agency.
  2. You pick the service or plan you want.
  3. You're handed off to Stripe Checkout — a secure, hosted payment page run by Stripe (not the agency, not the platform).
  4. Enter your card. For subscriptions, Stripe stores it for automatic monthly billing.
  5. After payment, you're redirected to a thank-you page and a magic-link email to start onboarding.

Your billing page (/my-billing)

Once you have an account, the billing page is intentionally simple. It shows:

  • A list of your purchases from this agency — plans you've subscribed to and one-time services you've bought, with the date and amount of each.
  • A single Manage Billing button.

Everything else — viewing invoices, updating your card, cancelling a subscription, downloading PDFs — happens inside the Stripe Customer Portal, which opens when you click Manage Billing.

Manage Billing (Stripe Customer Portal)

Clicking Manage Billing generates a one-time secure link to Stripe's Customer Portal. Once there, you can:

  • View and download invoices (all your past invoices, with PDFs).
  • Update your payment method (add a new card, set a default).
  • Cancel your subscription (takes effect at the end of the current cycle).
  • See upcoming charges and renewal date.

The portal is hosted by Stripe — it's the same secure page you'd see for any other Stripe-powered service. When you're done, close the tab or use the back link to return to the platform.

Cancelling

Open Manage Billing → find your active subscription → Cancel. You'll be asked to confirm; the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, the subscription ends and your card won't be charged again.

If you're cancelling because of an issue, message your agency first. Most issues can be fixed in less time than it takes to cancel.

A note about who you're paying

  • The service is sold by your agency.
  • The payment is processed by Stripe.
  • The agency's bank receives the money.
  • Local Visibility Lab (the platform) takes a small fee for providing the software — this is invisible to you and already included in the price you see.

This is the Stripe Connect model. From your perspective, you're paying your agency. The fee split happens automatically and won't appear on your invoice.

Refunds & disputes

  • For refund requests, contact your agency first — they can process a refund through Stripe within minutes.
  • For unauthorized charges or fraud, contact your bank to file a dispute. Stripe will involve the agency and the platform automatically.
