Profile Monitoring & Status Alerts
The platform watches every profile you manage and pages you when something changes. You don't need to log in daily to check on every client — the system surfaces what matters.
What gets monitored
Per profile, every few hours, the platform checks Google for:
- Status changes — active, pending verification, suspended, disabled.
- Suspensions — flagged immediately, never silently.
- Verification state — postcard, video call, phone status.
- Profile edits made or pending on Google — any change to the listing (NAP, hours, attributes, etc.) is captured as a single edit event. Finer-grained categorization (NAP-vs-hours-vs-photos-removed alerts as distinct event types) is on the Roadmap.
- Reviews added — every new review surfaces in the Reviews tab and triggers alerts if your team handles response.
Status states & duration
The dashboard shows status pills with how long a profile has been in each state. Example: "Suspended 12 days."
Statuses:
- active — verified, posting and metrics work.
- pending_verification — Google hasn't completed verification.
- suspended — Google has flagged the profile. Posting/metrics stop until resolved.
- disabled — closed temporarily or permanently.
- unknown — Google's API didn't return a definitive state on the last check; the platform retries on the next monitor cycle.
(If the Google credential is revoked or expired, the underlying integration shows a separate "needs reauth" badge — that's an integration concern, not a profile status. See Integrations.)
A "New Suspended This Week" card on the dashboard shows the count of recent regressions — useful for the Monday team huddle.
Alerts
When a profile changes status, the platform:
- Updates the profile detail page in real time.
- Surfaces the change in the dashboard activity feed.
- Sends an email to org members based on the org-level toggles in Settings → Personal Notifications (suspension / pending verification / active status).
- If the profile is included in a client-facing report, the next report will note the status change.
Per-user subscriptions to specific profiles' alerts (rather than the current org-level toggle) are on the Roadmap.
Triage workflow for suspensions
A typical response when a profile turns suspended:
- Open the profile → Edit Info tab and review for any obvious policy issues (keyword stuffing in name, virtual office address, etc.).
- File a reinstatement request through Google's interface.
- Open a case in the platform to track the resolution timeline.
- Once Google reinstates, the platform detects the change in the next monitor cycle and updates the status automatically.
An Insights tab with AI-driven suspension cause analysis (and the ability to pause monitoring for individual profiles during a rebrand) is on the Roadmap.
