Businesses & Profile Groups

This page covers the two main containers in the platform: the Business (your client) and the Profile Group (a bundle of profiles you want to view, report on, or act on together).

Businesses

What a Business represents

A real-world company you serve. Each Business holds:

  • Basic info (name, industry, primary website, phone)
  • One or more Profiles (Google Business Profile locations)
  • One or more Contacts (people)
  • Cases (work in flight)
  • Documents (uploads scoped to this business)
  • Billing (invoices, if your agency invoices per-business)
  • A Brand Profile (voice, colors, logo applied to AI)

Business detail tabs

  • Overview — at-a-glance stats and recent activity for all of this business's profiles.
  • Profiles — Google Business Profile locations attached.
  • Contacts — people at the business.
  • Cases — work in flight or historical.
  • Billing — invoices and subscriptions.
  • Activity — timeline of changes plus an internal-notes panel for team-only context.
  • Settings — business-level configuration.

Editing a business

Click any field to edit inline. Changes save automatically.

The Business's industry / category drives downstream AI behavior — make sure it's specific (not just "Services" but "Plumbing & HVAC Services").

Profile Groups

Profile groups answer a question that lists don't: "What are all the locations / profiles I want to treat as one batch?"

Examples

  • "East Coast Locations" — 8 profiles across NY, NJ, MA, PA.
  • "Plumbing Vertical" — all 12 profiles where the business is a plumber.
  • "Pilot Cohort" — 5 profiles testing a new content strategy.
  • "Q1 2026 Onboardings" — every profile signed in Q1.

Creating a group

  1. Sidebar → Profile Groups → + New Group.
  2. Name and description.
  3. Pick the profiles you want in the group (static membership — a flat profileIds[] list).
  4. Save.

What you can do with a group

  • Bulk update — change a setting (brand profile attachment, monitoring schedule) across all profiles in the group at once.
  • Bulk post — schedule the same content calendar entry across all profiles in the group. Each gets its own copy (so per-profile editing is possible after).
  • Group report — generate a single report covering all profiles in the group. Useful for clients with chain operations.
  • Group analytics — see aggregated metrics across the group.
  • Bulk approval — send a bundle of posts (one per profile) for approval as a single request.

Permissions

  • Group creation: owner / admin.
  • Group editing: owner / admin.
  • Group usage: anyone with profiles:view permission for all member profiles. Members scoped out of any group profile see a partial view or the group is hidden.

Bulk operations across businesses & groups

For agencies operating at scale:

  • Import / update businesses from CSV — on the Businesses list view → Import CSV button.
  • Import / update contacts from CSV — on the Contacts list view → Import CSV button.

A centralized Settings → Bulk Operations panel (with mass-attach brand profile, mass-change settings across profiles, and full-org CSV export) is on the Roadmap.
