Choosing & Changing Your Plan
Your agency subscribes to Local Visibility Lab itself (you're the customer of the platform). This is separate from anything your clients pay your agency for — that's covered in Storefront and End-User Billing.
The plan tiers
The platform offers three named tiers plus an active "graduated" plan that prices by usage. All three named tiers are currently marked legacy / deprecated in the catalog; new sign-ups land on the active graduated plan unless you specifically request a legacy tier.
| Tier | Best for | Notable limits |
|---|---|---|
| Free Trial | First 14 days of evaluation. | 1 profile, 100 AI generations, no syndication. |
| Starter | Solo agencies / freelancers. | 10 profiles, 5 team members, 200 AI generations/mo. |
| Professional | Growing agencies (10–50 clients). | 50 profiles, 15 team members, 1,000 AI generations/mo. |
| Enterprise | Multi-location / multi-brand. | High caps (effectively unlimited for normal use). White-label / custom domain support, dedicated support. |
Exact limits and pricing live on your Billing page — they're tuned over time and may not match this table verbatim.
Where to manage your plan
Billing → Plans & Subscriptions (admin/owner only). You'll see:
- Your current tier with renewal date
- A side-by-side comparison of all available tiers
- A Change Plan button next to each
Choosing your first plan
If you're brand new, the free trial is automatic for 14 days. Toward the end:
- The dashboard shows a banner counting down.
- You'll get email reminders at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day.
- Pick a paid tier from Billing before the trial ends to avoid losing access.
If the trial expires:
- The org is paused, not deleted — all data stays put.
- Sign-in still works, but most actions are disabled until you pick a plan.
Upgrading
Click Upgrade on the desired tier. Stripe Checkout opens. Enter your card, confirm. The upgrade applies immediately — new features unlock the moment Stripe confirms payment.
Proration: Stripe charges only the difference for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
Downgrading
Click Downgrade. Effective at the end of your current cycle (no proration credit). The platform warns you if you'd exceed the new tier's limits — you'll need to remove profiles or seats before the downgrade can complete.
What counts toward limits
- Profiles — every non-deleted, non-archived profile. Archive a profile to free a slot.
- Team seats — owners + admins + members + viewers + client reviewers. Provider Access grants don't count against your seat limit; they're billed (if at all) at the case level.
- AI generations — every Claude or Gemini API call (text or image) counts as one. Usage resets monthly.
- Custom domains — billed separately at a flat fee per domain per month, on top of your plan.
You can see usage vs. limits in the dashboard widget called Plan Usage or the bottom of the Billing page.
Add-ons
Add-ons sit on top of your plan:
- Extra AI generations — buy a pack if you hit your monthly cap.
- Custom domain — flat monthly fee per domain.
- Additional team seat — for plans with a strict seat cap.
Add-ons appear as separate line items on your invoice.
Invoices
Billing → Invoices lists every invoice issued to your agency by the platform. Each row links to a Stripe-hosted PDF. The platform doesn't store credit-card numbers; that's all with Stripe.
Updating your payment method
Billing → Payment Method → Update. Opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can add a new card and set it as default for both your subscription and any add-ons.
Cancelling
Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current cycle. You keep access until then. After cancellation:
- Org is paused, not deleted.
- Data is retained for 90 days, then archived.
- You can reactivate any time inside that window by picking a plan again.
